Sort before it piles up
Use secure containers for general waste, recycling and anything hazardous. Check which facilities accept each material; waterside bins do not all take the same things.
Store it safely
Keep bags away from heaters, hatches and walkways. Secure rubbish on the roof or deck so wind and wash cannot send it into the water.
Use the right collection point
Take boat waste to designated facilities where available. Do not leave bags beside a full bin; find another site or take them with you.
