Prepare before you arrive
Find the proper drinking water point and bring a clean hose and fittings reserved for that use. Check that the tap is in service and whether an access key is required.
Fill with care
Keep the hose end clean and out of the canal. Stay with the fill so an overflowing tank does not waste water or flood the boat. Follow any local hygiene instructions.
Move on promptly
Water points are service berths, not overnight moorings. Coil the hose, clear the landing and let the next boat use it once your tank is full.
